Everything below is in the app today. Nothing is promised for later.

Metronome

  • 20 to 300 BPM: steps of 1 and 5, a drag on the number, or tap the tempo.
  • 1 to 12 beats over 2, 4 or 8; each beat accent, normal or silent.
  • Eighths, triplets or sixteenths. Wood, Click and Beep sounds.
  • Plays over your music and keeps time with the screen off.
  • A one-bar count-in, and vibrate on the beat.

Stand view

  • While it plays, the tempo is huge and the beat number fills the screen.
  • Tap anywhere to stop. Slide up or down to change the tempo.
  • Big −5, Tap and +5 keys you can hit while you hold your instrument.
  • A Bluetooth foot pedal or headset button starts and stops it.

  • An arrow and one word say what to do: Tighten or Loosen.

Questions

Is Metronome & Tuner free?

Yes. The metronome, the stand view, tap tempo, count-in, foot pedal support and the tuner are free. Pro is one payment (US$2.99) for the tempo trainer, Quiet Count, the setlist and five more colours. No subscription, no ads.

Does the click keep time with the screen off?

Yes. In our test on a Galaxy S23, 30 minutes with the screen off and the phone in deep sleep, it played 3,015 clicks, none missed, and the space between clicks never varied by more than 0.1 ms.

Can I use a foot pedal?

Yes. A Bluetooth page turner or foot pedal starts and stops the click and steps the tempo. With a setlist, the right pedal loads the next song, and it waits for you to start it. A headset button starts and stops it too.

Which instruments can the tuner tune?

Guitar, bass, ukulele, violin, viola, cello, mandolin and banjo, with standard and common alternate tunings, or any note with the chromatic tuner. It says Tighten or Loosen, not only cents.

Does the tuner record me?

No. It uses the microphone only while the tuner is on screen, finds the pitch on the phone, and never saves or sends sound.

When is it on Google Play?

Soon. The app is finished and in testing. This page will link to Google Play on the day it is out.
